Dr. Willie J. Bolden, Senior Pastor
For over 30 years Dr. Bolden has had a burning desire to see people experience the same personal relationship with Jesus Christ that he has. This burning and infectious enthusiasm continues to characterize his life in Christ. Ministry to him is not viewed as an obligation but as an opportunity to give back to the Lord just a portion of what the Lord has given him. God has anointed him with the gifts of evangelism, teaching and preaching. Dr. Bolden has made a tremendous impact for the Kingdom of God ministering in various ways, from door-to-door evangelism, street preaching, church planting to college professor and Senior Pastor.
As Senior Pastor of These Are They Community Church since 1995, Dr. Bolden has given visionary leadership to one of most vibrant churches in Desoto, TX. TATCC has corporate service on Sunday mornings and Life Groups that meet at various locations throughout the Desoto community. Additionally, TATCC serves the community through various ministries specifically targeting Men, Women, Youth, Children, seniors and Married couples.
A Native of Kansas City Missouri, he migrated to Southern California in 1971 where he attended Biola University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education. He earned a Master of Arts in Theological Education from Talbot Theological Seminary. In 2006, he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Missions and Evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
Dr. Bolden's extraordinary gift of teaching complex biblical and theological principles, apologetics and evangelism has open doors for him to impact the lives of countless individuals. He currently serves as an adjunct professor for the prestigious Dallas Theological Seminary and Dallas Christian College. He has taught courses in subjects ranging from: How To Study and Apply the Bible, The Pauline Epistles, Pastoral Ministries, Biblical Theology of Leadership, Group Leadership, Evangelism, Discipleship, Evangelism in the Urban Context, Comparative Religions, Dynamics of Leadership, and Homiletics. As a sought after conference speaker, preacher and teacher, Dr. Bolden has been the featured lecturer in conferences nationally. His lectures and conference subjects range from: Successful Biblical Marriage, Blended Families and Evangelism to Bible Doctrine and Christian Education. Also, he serves as president and CEO of W.J. Dr. Bolden is married to Minister Loretta C. Bolden. They are the proud parents of 7 children: Christopher L. Porter, Marcus A. Bolden, Joseph M. Bolden, Courtney L. Porter, Talitha C. (Bolden) Byrd, Catrina L. Porter and Cymone L. Bolden
Minster Bolden is a native of Marshall Texas . She Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ministerial Leadership from Dallas Christian College. She acknowledged her call to the preaching ministry in April of 2006. Since that time she has ministered in various conferences and churches throughout the southern region of Texas. Minister Bolden has a passion and a specific call to see the lives of women transformed. Through the expository teaching of the Word of God, she desires to see women not only know the uncompromising truths of Scripture intellectually but experience them practically by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Speaking from the heart of her own experiences as a wife and mother of seven, she has the unique ability to connect to women from all walks of life and she has accepted the call to help women develop their self-esteem and self-worth. 1st Lady, Minister Loretta Bolden
Rev. Lee is a native of Dallas, TX. After surrendering to God’s call to preach the Gospel, he served as a leader in the youth ministry of Harding Street Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor R.D.Manson. After several years of being involved in youth ministry, he began serving at These Are They Community Church under the leadership of Dr. Willie J. Bolden. Rev. Lee has a passion for ministering to kids and youth of all ages. In addition to sharing the Gospel message through teaching and preaching, Rev Lee is an accomplished caterer. Rev. Lee pursued his undergraduate degree at El Centro College.
